TRAINING

Devotional for Friday February 11, 2022

Morning Ephesians 6:10-18

Noon Psalm 2

Evening 1 Corinthians 9:24-27

When a player joins a team, the first thing the coach does is analyze the player's strengths and weaknesses to see which position they can best fill. Then, the player starts training focusing on weaknesses, to strengthen them both individually and as a team in order to get the best out of them. When we accept Christ in our heart, the same thing happens, we must analyze ourselves and recognize our strengths and weaknesses. We must be aware of which areas of our lives are most vulnerable to our enemy’s attacks, Satan will never rest or desist in his eagerness to destroy us. It is up to us to work on those weaknesses in order to strengthen them and, at the same time, to put our strengths into practice in the service of the Lord. Only by seeking the presence of Jehovah and learning about Him, we can obtain the necessary strength to face the attacks of our enemy. Put on the armor of God and you will see how the attacks of evil will have no effect on you. Show the Lord, through your actions, the full confidence you have in Him and you will be able to see all your weaknesses turned into virtues for His glory and honor.

Morning Ephesians 6:10-18

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

Noon Psalm 2

1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?

2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,

3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.

4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision.

5 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.

6 Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.

7 I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.

8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.

9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.

10 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.

11 Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

Evening 1 Corinthians 9:24-27

24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.

25 And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.

26 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:

27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

Prayer Guide: [Cuba-Guandao] and [Haití-Titayen]

February's challenge: Show love, not only with words but with deeds, to your relatives, to your spiritual brothers and the neighbors. Give them flowers, make a donation when needed, write something special to them, help the needy, feed the hungry, etc. Pray for this daily.
