Morning1 John 4:16
Noon Psalm 2
Evening 1 John 4:7-12
A few years ago, my phone rang. “Hello,” I replied. On the other side of the receiver, I heard a tender little voice that told me: “Mera, I love you.” “I love you too, my boy,” I told him, with suppressed emotion. We talked for a while and then hung up. He was a charming and loving child; intelligent and enthusiastic. As a small child, he sang in our church services and always in perfect tone. It amazed us all. But on that day, I was impressed by more than his voice, I was impressed by his attitude. To have remembered me, picking up the phone and calling me and to tell me that he loved me. That phone call refreshed my soul. It made my day. I was also able to understand once again how important it is to remember the people we love and to take a minute of our time to call them and say “I love you” and “I care about you”. Perhaps someone is going through a difficult time, feeling sad and discouraged and your words, guided by the spirit of God and a loving phone call, can transform their day.

Morning1 John 4:16
16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
Noon Psalm 2
1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,
3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision.
5 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.
6 Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.
7 I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.
10 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
11 Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.
Evening 1 John 4:7-12
7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.

February's challenge: Show love, not only with words but with deeds, to your relatives, to your spiritual brothers and the neighbors. Give them flowers, make a donation when needed, write something special to them, help the needy, feed the hungry, etc. Pray for this daily.
