CROSSING THE VALLEY

Devotional for Tuesday March 29, 2022

Morning Psalm 18:1-6

Noon Psalm 15

Evening Psalm 92:7-15

Sometimes, although I have faith, I feel weak, fear, pain, and tiredness, but I do not want to faint for the sake of reaping a good harvest. The valley of shadows that I am going through seems to never end, but there is the Good Shepherd who helps me through it. At times, I want to abandon the road, to run and fly away; but God tells me no, to continue, because the harvest will be great. Yet I am crumbling, my saddened soul experiences the downfall of a heavy storm, it crumbles like a sandcastle when hit by the sea. Where is my strength, my smile, and my joy? I don't want to lose them, but I'm exhausted and weary. I pray seeking the sweet refuge in the wounds of Christ, only He tells me that when I am weaker than ever is when I am being more resistant and impetuous. His voice amid pain, sorrow and grief encourages me. I know that I can! I don't know how many kilometers, meters or centimeters are left in this valley, I just know that wherever he wants me to be, he is my strength.

Morning Psalm 18:1-6

1 I will love thee, O LORD, my strength.

2 The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

3 I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.

4 The sorrows of death compassed me, and the floods of ungodly men made me afraid.

5 The sorrows of hell compassed me about: the snares of death prevented me.

6 In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.

Noon Psalm 15

1 Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?

2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.

3 He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.

4 In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the LORD. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not.

5 He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved.

Evening Psalm 92:7-15

7 When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed for ever:

8 But thou, LORD, art most high for evermore.

9 For, lo, thine enemies, O LORD, for, lo, thine enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.

10 But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil.

11 Mine eye also shall see my desire on mine enemies, and mine ears shall hear my desire of the wicked that rise up against me.

12 The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

13 Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.

14 They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;

15 To shew that the LORD is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.

Prayer Guide: [México-Balancán] and [Venezuela- San Felix]

March's challenge: Do everything possible so that your life can be a visible testimony to all men as Christians living in the likeness of Christ. Everyday, praise your Creator. Keep a constant praise on your lips. Listen to Christian praise and worship music with your family. Go to Church, not only to be a spectator, but a worshiper. Worship as you pray, worship as you read the Bible, worship in your illness, always worship.
