Devotional for Saturday April 23, 2022
Morning Matthew 24:3-14
Noon Psalm 19
Evening 2 Timothy 4:1-5
Deception is one of the enemy's terrible weapons to make fall to many Cunningly, he will find a way to make you change course, but do not be carried away by winds of strange doctrines. Examine the powerful Word of God and you will realize the truth, because the Lord reveals to us what we must do and where we must go. Do not be fooled, do not be provoked, the devil tempted Jesus Christ himself using the Scriptures, but He demonstrated his wisdom and overcame the test. Educate yourself, prepare yourself, keep your lamp burning with enough oil and keep advancing with your eyes always on the target of the sovereign vocation that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Pray, fast and feed yourself with his Word, in this way you will be able to avoid the darts of the enemy. Church, do not be deceived, do not tire of doing good, because no one knows the day or the hour in which the Redeemer will come, not even the angels of heaven. Blessed is he, whom the Lord approves for his kingdom. You have been warned, be careful and continue marching, we will arrive soon.

Morning Matthew 24:3-14
3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.
10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
Noon Psalm 19
1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.
2 Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.
3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.
4 Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,
5 Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.
6 His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.
7 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.
8 The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.
9 The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.
10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
11 Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.
12 Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults.
13 Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.
14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
Evening 2 Timothy 4:1-5
1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry

The Challange for the Month: Search for scriptures that describe God's character, and then take time to do a Bible study to reflect on how you can apply those characteristics in your own life. Remember that you are an ambassador of God who should strive to represent him in a worthy manner. Find out what are the requirements God has for those who are citizens of HIS kingdom. Apply those requirements in your life and pray daily for these things.
