Devotional for Monday June 13, 2022
Lord, on my bad days I look for you, on my good days I thank you, on my great days I praise you and all my days I need you. Teach us to walk through breaking waters, those that break when we doubt, when we lack the faith to follow after You. Do not stop looking at us as You looked at Peter, with that sweet look and with that word that lifts our soul: "Why did you doubt, man of little faith?" Peter could have walked all the way to Jesus, if only he had kept believing.
This happens to us many times in our pilgrimage; but we know that if we resist the test, we will receive the crown of life, the one that God has promised to those who love him. Every difficult moment of our existence, every illness, need, anguish and pain is an opportunity for our eternal Father to manifest in us his sufficient grace and fill us with faith. Let us walk through rough seas, through tsunamis that rise to test our work, even through tornadoes that with their harshness want to tear away our joy, but in the end we will shout with faith: "I can do all this through him who gives me strength.” Philippians 4:13

Morning 1 John 5:1-4
1 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.
2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
Noon Psalm 68:1-10
1 Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him.
2 As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God.
3 But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God: yea, let them exceedingly rejoice.
4 Sing unto God, sing praises to his name: extol him that rideth upon the heavens by his name JAH, and rejoice before him.
5 A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.
6 God setteth the solitary in families: he bringeth out those which are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.
7 O God, when thou wentest forth before thy people, when thou didst march through the wilderness; Selah:
8 The earth shook, the heavens also dropped at the presence of God: even Sinai itself was moved at the presence of God, the God of Israel.
9 Thou, O God, didst send a plentiful rain, whereby thou didst confirm thine inheritance, when it was weary.
10 Thy congregation hath dwelt therein: thou, O God, hast prepared of thy goodness for the poor.
Evening Matthew 14:22-23
22 And straightway Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away.
23 And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.

This month's challenge is: Think before you judge or act.
Ask yourself at all times: how would I want to be treated if I were in that condition? Always remember Jesus' advice: “Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful. Judge not, and you will not be judged: condemn not, and you will not be condemned: forgive, and you will be forgiven."
Luke 6:36,37
