GOD EXTENDS HIS SCEPTER

July 20, 2021

Morning: Esther 5: 1,2

Noon: Psalm 85

Evening: Psalm 5: 6

Esther faced a huge hurdle, what was she to do? She knew that the survival of her people ultimately depended on the outcome of a conversation she needed to have with the Persian King. In order for her to sway the King and deliver her people from a massacre she decided not to focus on the problem, but center herself on the only one who could open any door, and break down the strongest of walls and that was God.

So, Esther fasted and poured out her soul to God for three days, she did not care that her own life would be in jeopardy, she put her full trust in her God and He came through. You see, the customs and laws of the Persian people dictated that this interaction Esther would have would with the King should result in her demise but, The Persian King was pleased with her , and listened to her plea to spare her people. Her cries and supplication were heard in heaven and God’s hand delivered Esther and the children of Israel.

You too can move the hand of God in your favor, He can extend life, resolve the conflict, topple any principality, and all you need to is pray and fast. Seek God with humility for you were chosen like Esther to have an open dialogue with the King of King and Lord of Lords, He wants to hear your cry and give you victory.

Let us then confidently approach the throne of grace.

Noon Psalm 85

LORD, thou hast been favourable unto thy land:

Thou hast brought back the captivity of Jacob.

2Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people,

Thou hast covered all their sin. Selah.

3Thou hast taken away all thy wrath:

Thou hast turned thyself from the fierceness of thine anger.

4Turn us, O God of our salvation,

And cause thine anger toward us to cease.

5Wilt thou be angry with us for ever?

Wilt thou draw out thine anger to all generations?

6Wilt thou not revive us again:

That thy people may rejoice in thee?

7Shew us thy mercy, O LORD,

And grant us thy salvation.

8I will hear what God the LORD will speak:

For he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: But let them not turn again to folly.

9Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him;

That glory may dwell in our land.

10Mercy and truth are met together;

Righteousness and peace have kissed each other.

11Truth shall spring out of the earth;

And righteousness shall look down from heaven.

12Yea, the LORD shall give that which is good;

And our land shall yield her increase.

13Righteousness shall go before him;

And shall set us in the way of his steps.
