Morning Psalms 99:1-9
Noon Psalms 125
Evening Acts 5:1-11
God and his revelation place a special emphasis on his holiness: God is holy. The primary meaning of saint is "separated", the term comes from the Hebrew word "kadosh" which means "to cut" or "to separate". Regarding God, holy means that He is separated from everything that is profane and sinful, He has no relationship with sin. Because of a sin, God banished our first parents from Eden when they corrupted their holy garden and God turned away from fallen man. Aaron's sons were consumed in fire for violating His holiness, and the priests Ophni and Phinees were killed because of their wickedness against the Lord. Some might think that these extreme cases are from the Old Testament, because the God of the New Testament is a God of love. This is a mistake; the holiness of God cannot be minimized by other attributes. Ananias and Sapphira, New Testament Christians, were killed for just one lie. All these examples demonstrate that when God encounters sin, he either destroys it or turns away from it. If you are a child of God, holiness is not an option, it is a necessity for your life.
Praise your great and tremendous name; He is holy.

Morning
1 The Lord reigns; Let the peoples tremble! He dwells between the cherubim; Let the earth be moved!
2 The Lord is great in Zion, And He is high above all the peoples.
3 Let them praise Your great and awesome name—He is holy.
4 The King’s strength also loves justice; You have established equity; You have executed justice and righteousness in Jacob.
5 Exalt the Lord our God, And worship at His footstool—He is holy.
6 Moses and Aaron were among His priests, And Samuel was among those who called upon His name; They called upon the Lord, and He answered them.
7 He spoke to them in the cloudy pillar; They kept His testimonies and the [c]ordinance He gave them.
8 You answered them, O Lord our God; You were to them God-Who-Forgives, Though You took vengeance on their deeds.
9 Exalt the Lord our God, And worship at His holy hill; For the Lord our God is holy.
Noon Psalms 125
1 They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.
2 As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.
3 For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.
4 Do good, O LORD, unto those that be good, and to them that are upright in their hearts.
5 As for such as turn aside unto their crooked ways, the LORD shall lead them forth with the workers of iniquity: but peace shall be upon Israel.
Evening Acts 5:1-11
1 But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession,
2 And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles' feet.
3 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?
4 Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.
5 And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things.
6 And the young men arose, wound him up, and carried him out, and buried him.
7 And it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what was done, came in.
8 And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much? And she said, Yea, for so much.
9 Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out.
10 Then fell she down straightway at his feet, and yielded up the ghost: and the young men came in, and found her dead, and, carrying her forth, buried her by her husband.
11 And great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard these things
