MOVING FORWARD TAKES A LOT OF WORK

July 5, 2021

Evening Matthew 24:13

Moving forward is no easy task. Not everyone can propose a change in position for themselves and achieve it with total success. That is because moving forward takes a bit of work. It takes sacrifice that most refuse to take; it means there will be suffering, and very few are those who accept to endure it. That is why it is no secret that moving forward takes work.

In the race towards Christ, moving forward is part of the outlined plan, and it is sad to see how many fall back or remain stagnant. Only the brave continue forward, only those who have fixed their eyes on the goal; But moving forward still takes work for the courageous. It is the same for both Christians and those who do not know the Lord, because what is ahead is not a reward that everyone deserves. Therefore the requirements are many, yet those who are willing to face anything to reach their destination are very few. Will we be one of those who will find ourselves stuck in the road? Will we back down? The goal is Christ— that alone has to motivate us to keep moving forward. Do not stop, and if you do, let it be only to rest, but never to think about the hard work it takes to keep moving forward.

Don't let anyone take your crown, go for it.

Morning Philippians 3:12-14

Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.

13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, 14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Noon Psalm 85

LORD, thou hast been favourable unto thy land:

Thou hast brought back the captivity of Jacob.

2Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people,

Thou hast covered all their sin. Selah.

3Thou hast taken away all thy wrath:

Thou hast turned thyself from the fierceness of thine anger.

4Turn us, O God of our salvation,

And cause thine anger toward us to cease.

5Wilt thou be angry with us for ever?

Wilt thou draw out thine anger to all generations?

6Wilt thou not revive us again:

That thy people may rejoice in thee?

7Shew us thy mercy, O LORD,

And grant us thy salvation.

8I will hear what God the LORD will speak:

For he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: But let them not turn again to folly.

9Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him;

That glory may dwell in our land.

10Mercy and truth are met together;

Righteousness and peace have kissed each other.

11Truth shall spring out of the earth;

And righteousness shall look down from heaven.

12Yea, the LORD shall give that which is good;

And our land shall yield her increase.

13Righteousness shall go before him;

And shall set us in the way of his steps.

Evening Matthew 24:13

But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
