Morning Psalm 40:1-4
Noon Psalm 2
Evening Psalm 27:14
How many times have we thought we have already won a war, only to realize that it was just the first battle? The road is long and tortuous. We shed tears and keep praying.
The psalmist said, "I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry." When we wait like this, resignedly and with confidence in His promises, His answer will come at the right time.
Jesus Christ promised, "By your patience possess your souls." So we need to cultivate patience in order to wait on God. When we practice patience we must be kind too, so that the way we treat others is tender and loving as it is suited for children of God.
Ask God to help you cultivate this holy virtue: to treat others with the same patience God treats you and to wait with resignation on His divine will.
Saint Teresa de Avila grasped the importance of this beautiful virtue and expressed it in one of her poems: "Let nothing upset you, let nothing startle you. All things pass, God does not change. Patience wins all it seeks. Whoever has God lacks nothing, God alone is enough!"
"Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”

Morning Psalm 40:1-4
1 I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.
2 He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.
3 And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.
4 Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.
Noon Psalm 2
1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,
3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision.
5 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.
6 Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.
7 I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.
10 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
11 Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.
Evening Psalm 27:14
Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.
