Morning: 1 Thessalonians 5:12-15
Noon: Psalm 97
Evening: 1 Timothy 4:9-11
What a great responsibility God had placed over the church to not underestimate or disregard the teaching of the children of God. What a great responsibility God has placed upon the shoulders of the church to stay steadfast in prayer for the ministry of these teachers. We must go to church prepared to hear the exposition of the Scriptures; we must receive the message that is preached with a willing and open heart. What an effort we must make to not allow our flesh to derail our attention from the service. Although we don’t see the burning bush, or hear the voice of the trumpet as it sounded in Mount Sinai, God manifests his glorious presence in our midst during service in a very special way. And the Holy Spirit utilizes the message of the Scriptures as a form of His grace so that we may gain strength more and more, and so that we may continue to be faithful until the end.
If we want to put a stop to sin and to promote piety within the church, the ministers must know their responsibility in this matter. Even more so, the church should also know what the goal and nature of that responsibility is.

May the Word of God abide abundantly in our hearts!
Morning: 1 Thessalonians 5:12-15
12 And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you;
13 And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. And be at peace among yourselves.
14 Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.
15 See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.
Noon: Psalm 97
1 The Lord reigneth; let the earth rejoice; let the multitude of isles be glad thereof.
2 Clouds and darkness are round about him: righteousness and judgment are the habitation of his throne.
3 A fire goeth before him, and burneth up his enemies round about.
4 His lightnings enlightened the world: the earth saw, and trembled.
5 The hills melted like wax at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.
6 The heavens declare his righteousness, and all the people see his glory.
7 Confounded be all they that serve graven images, that boast themselves of idols: worship him, all ye gods.
8 Zion heard, and was glad; and the daughters of Judah rejoiced because of thy judgments, O Lord.
9 For thou, Lord, art high above all the earth: thou art exalted far above all gods.
10 Ye that love the Lord, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.
11 Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart.
12 Rejoice in the Lord, ye righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.
Evening: 1 Timothy 4:9-11
9 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation.
10 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.
11 These things command and teach.
