WHAT MAN CANNOT DO, GOD DOES

Devotional for Wednesday April 20, 2022

Morning Luke 7:12-13

Noon Psalm 19

Evening Mark 5:26

I had the experience of being in a hospital in intensive care, depending on an oxygen mask. They were long and overwhelming nights, and all I did was complain and ask God where he was, why wasn’t he watching over me. why didn't I feel him, why he had left me. I took off the oxygen mask hoping that something really

miraculous happened or the other option was to suffocate and die, because it was so painful to breathe. I couldn't handle it anymore.

Until one day I got tired, I gave up, I felt totally unworthy of deserving something and I surrendered to God, I repented for blaming Him for everything that was happening to me, I realized that I was very lucky and privileged, because I knew him; So, I decided to hum hymns. Suddenly I felt my lungs slowly gaining strength and it didn't take long for me to be taken to the recovery room.

Without deserving it He heard my prayer and my groaning. Our God is a maker of wonders, although everything is dark his light will shine.

Morning Luke 7:12-13

12 Now when he came nigh to the gate of the city, behold, there was a dead man carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow: and much people of the city was with her.

13 And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not.

Noon Psalm 19

1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

2 Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.

3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.

4 Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,

5 Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.

6 His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.

7 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.

8 The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.

9 The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.

10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

11 Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.

12 Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults.

13 Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.

14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.

Evening Mark 5:26

And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,

The Challange for the Month: Search for scriptures that describe God's character, and then take time to do a Bible study to reflect on how you can apply those characteristics in your own life. Remember that you are an ambassador of God who should strive to represent him in a worthy manner. Find out what are the requirements God has for those who are citizens of HIS kingdom. Apply those requirements in your life and pray daily for these things.
